I am a graphic designer, artist, researcher and an aspiring writer from Toronto currently living and working in London, UK. I create illustrations, collages, screen and intaglio prints, with my work found in books, magazines, posters, letters, marketing materials and websites. In my work, images and text intertwine to narrate a collection of diverse cultural references. I have moved away from image to text as a method to articulate my dislocation, disorientation and seeing India-ness in London and vice-verse. I feel visuals can be limited in telling a narrative, whereas writing is more inclusive. Through my writing, I employ observational skills I have learned as a designer to narrate ambiguity of concepts that derive from unknowingly other-cultural concepts that invites readers to comprehend whilst asking them to do more research on their end.
